IR Sensors

IR or infrared sensors are used for a non-contact temperature measurement reading. These sensors can either provide Type J or K thermocouple outputs, or analog signal output. The biggest thing about infrared sensors is the correct emissivity setting for the product being measured. Fixed emissivity is a great low cost solution for sensing when an object is black. Adjust emissivity is the best option for any IR sensor. This allows a user to properly calibrate the sensor to the product it is measuring.

IR sensors can be offered with cooling jackets, or air purge systems for high temperature requirements.
